Description
The Extreme Warmer ECO will keep your dog warm in demanding conditions. The shell fabric, wadding and belt are made from 100% recycled material. The lining is made from 50% recycled polyester. A fluorocarbon-free Rudolf ECO water-repellent treatment weatherproofs the coat.
The reflective foil inside the jacket reflects your dog’s body heat and gives the jacket significant, extra warmth! The waterproof surface material is soft and comfortable. The Extreme Warmer ECO protects your dog’s key muscle groups. A high, foil-lined hood warms the dog’s neck and can be lifted to protect the ears. Your dog’s visibility will also be improved because of the large reflective prints and 3M reflector piping.
The neckline features an adjustable, elastic closure, and the back length adjustment is placed on the inside of the coat. The hem stays in place due to the hind leg straps, and the opening for a harness can be closed with snaps. If you like this coat, check out our other Hurtta products available.
MEASURING THE DOG
- Back length should be measured from the withers (not the collar) to the base of the tail, while the dog is standing in a normal position.
- Neckline measurement should be taken at the base of the neck, this being the widest part of the neck. The neckline of the hood can be larger than the circumference of the dog’s neck, it can be adjusted to fit a smaller neck. It’ better to be roomy than to tight.
- Chest measurement should be taken at the widest point of the chest, from behind the front legs. To ensure sufficient freedom of movement the chest of the coat should be 2-8″ wider than the dog’s chest.
- Front leg length for overalls (covering the legs) should be measured from the bottom of the rib cage, along the inner side of the leg to the wrist bone. The legs of an overall are of an appropriate length when they reach down to the dog’s forearms.
Note: If the purpose of the overall (covering the legs) is to protect the fur of a long-haired dog, the legs of the overall can be longer than listed above. In this case however, the overall should only be worn when the dog is on a leash or under it’s owner’s supervision.
